Why did we start ScrapRateToday?

The Indian scrap market runs largely on word of mouth. A seller in one city often has no way to know what the same metal sells for in another city. Dealers quote different prices to different people on the same day. We started ScrapRateToday to fix this information gap with one simple idea: publish daily, city-wise scrap rates that anyone can check for free.
