This page explains how ScrapRateToday creates, checks, and updates its content. We hold our price data and articles to the same standard: accurate, current, and written for the reader.

How do we gather rate data?

Our daily rates come from surveys of scrap dealers and market sources in each covered city. We collect buying rates for standard grades, remove outliers, and publish a representative rate per metal per city. The full process is described on our rate methodology page.

How do we check articles before publishing?

Every article is checked for factual accuracy before it goes live. We verify metal grades, city industry facts, and process descriptions against reliable references. We do not publish invented statistics, unnamed company claims, or price predictions presented as facts. If a claim cannot be verified, it does not go in.

How do we handle corrections?

When we find an error — or a reader reports one — we correct it promptly and note the correction where it matters. Rate data errors are fixed in the next daily update at the latest. We do not silently rewrite articles to hide mistakes.

Do advertisers influence our content?

No. Advertising and partnerships do not influence our rates or our editorial content. A paying advertiser cannot change a published rate or buy a favourable article. Rate data and editorial decisions stay fully separate from revenue.

Who writes our content?

Our content is written by our in-house editorial team and reviewed before publishing. Market news articles stick to verifiable market facts. Guides explain processes in plain language without jargon.

How often is content reviewed?

Rate tables are updated daily. City and metal pages are reviewed regularly to keep industry descriptions accurate. News articles carry their publication date so readers can judge how current they are.
